Visiting
Where are you, and when are you open?
Our Qianmen house is at No. 36 Qianmen Street, Dongcheng, Beijing, open daily 10:00 – 21:00. You can find the map, nearest subway, and a taxi card on the Visit page.
I don't speak Chinese — will that be a problem?
Not at all. Our front desk can help you in English, this site is offered in eight languages, and the menu is labelled by allergen. Show this page or your booking when you arrive.
Reservations
Do I need to book, or can I walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome. For weekends, holidays, or a group, we recommend booking ahead — use the reservation page, WeChat (duyichu1738), or call +86 10 6301 2841.
Can you seat a group or host a private event?
Yes — a private room is available (choose it in the reservation form). For a larger party or a special occasion, note the size and date in your request and we will confirm the arrangements with you.
Menu & dietary
I've never had shaomai — what should I order?
Shaomai are open-topped steamed dumplings, pleated by hand into twenty-four folds. First-timers love the classic pork; fresh-shrimp and three-delicacies are house favourites. Order a few kinds and share.
Do you have vegetarian or allergen-friendly options?
Yes — one of the six fillings is vegetable, and every filling is labelled by allergen (all contain wheat). Please tell us about any allergy when you book, and again when you arrive.
Gifts & orders
Can I take shaomai home, or have it shipped?
Yes — frozen shaomai and gift boxes are in our shop, packed to travel; steam from frozen in about eight minutes. Beijing cold-chain delivery is available; for shipping further afield, please ask the house.
Can I pay online?
Not yet. Online payment isn't enabled on this site, so nothing is charged here — a gift enquiry is arranged and paid with the house directly (WeChat Pay, Alipay, UnionPay, or cash). See the Terms for details.
Account & privacy
Do I need an account to use the site?
No. You can browse, plan a visit, and send a reservation or gift enquiry without an account. An account only saves your details, reservations and wishlist for next time; you can delete it whenever you like.
How is my personal information handled?
We ask for as little as possible, never sell it, and run no advertising or tracking. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash. The full detail — including your rights and the sections for the EEA/UK, China and the US — is in our Privacy Policy.

我们的前门老店位于北京市东城区前门大街 36 号，每日 10:00–21:00 营业。您可在到访页面找到地图、最近的地铁站，以及一张出租车指引卡。
我不会说中文，这会有问题吗？
完全不会。我们的前台可以用英语为您服务，本网站提供八种语言，菜单也按过敏原做了标注。到店时，出示本页面或您的预订即可。
预订
我需要预订吗，还是可以直接到店？
欢迎您无需预约直接到店。若是周末、节假日或团体用餐，我们建议提前预订——可使用预订页面、微信（duyichu1738），或致电 +86 10 6301 2841。
你们能接待团体或承办私人活动吗？
可以——我们设有包间（可在预订表单中选择）。若是较大规模的聚会或特别的场合，请在预订申请中注明人数和日期，我们会与您确认具体安排。
菜单与饮食
我从没吃过烧麦，该点些什么？
烧麦是一种顶部开口的蒸制面点，由手工捏出二十四褶。第一次品尝的客人大多喜欢经典的猪肉馅；鲜虾和三鲜则是本店的招牌。不妨多点几种，大家一起分享。
你们有素食或对过敏人群友好的选择吗？
有的——六种馅料中有一种是素馅，每种馅料都标注了过敏原（均含小麦）。若您有任何过敏，请在预订时告知我们，到店时再提醒一次。

账户与隐私
我需要注册账户才能使用本网站吗？
不需要。您无需账户即可浏览网站、规划到访，以及发送预订或礼品咨询。账户只是为下次到访保存您的信息、预订记录和心愿单；您可以随时将其删除。
我的个人信息将如何处理？
